Hospice 6/18/07

TRANSLATION:

The nurse states: Father becomes angry during visit, in the use of medications and the importance of maintaining blood levels to protect Evan’s liver. “The parents are worn-out”.

Father states: “He is poisoning Evan & he is becoming addicted to the 3 barbiturates and that is why the seizures are not controlled”. He explains how the seizures are going out of control and the frequency & duration.

Mother becomes very quiet and sad when she hears this. Allowed mother to ventilate feelings, how prayer helps. Father becomes angry and leaves the room & then returns back again asking “what are we supposed to do?” Again nurse must show how to use meds & maintain blood levels- END Translation.

Again, this nurse Whisnant, she should not take care of mealworms. The blood levels have to be checked in a lab, she can’t control the levels by guessing, the parents knew this, and the drugs can destroy Evan’s liver. But if they did check Evan’s blood at this point, they would see many drugs in his blood and it would look pretty dam insane for a baby to have this much poison at this age. We were poisoning Evan, but didn’t know it – how could THEY not know it? The seizures were out of control and went on and on, his brain slowly eaten away with less and less oxygen and the damage from electrical discharge in his brain were destroying the nerve connections. Yes he was also addicted because drugs were his diet. Morphine, Ativan and Phenobarbital was his baby food and after the overdose we weaned him off of the drugs. Evan had days of withdrawals. As far as the father’s statements are concerned – the parents assessments were uneducated, but correct – the “gut” feeling is usually correct. How come the symptoms are escalating when drugs were increased and how come the seizures stopped (later) after the drugs were discontinued? Pretty simple and very obvious.

This nurse is more concerned with the father, with her middle school intellect, she is controlling/destroying a baby’s life and committing a crime. I never concentrated on her guilt or innocence, but I will elude that she just couldn’t grasp what was happening. This was just another event she could bring back to her office to share “the father’s lack of cooperation” as you will see in the hospice record dated 01/24/08

Why would they not take blood ? If a lab tech saw this blood ,what would he say ???
