TRANSLATION:

Evan is 7 months old, seizure activity has gone up in the last 30 days. Evan has had DAYS of seizure activity lasting several hours. Phenobarbital has been upped again to 8ml 2 X per day and Ativan is up to 1-2 tabs every 4 hours “to control seizures”. Parents believe Evan needs nutrition (amino acids & protein) Evan is on antibiotics for infection. Appears to be lifeless, declining, evidence is in seizure activity. Parents need psychological support and assistance.

The drugs are being used like candy and the more they use, the more out of control the seizures. It is simple and logical, NOW after what we have learned. The evidence is that they are killing this baby with the drugs. Evan can’t fight anything; he has been overwhelmed with drug abuse. The parents, (as this nurse is trying to convey) are stupid and uneducated, but as we have found, the parents were always correct. The baby was starving and addicted, and their drugs were keeping the child in Status epilepticus (SE) is a life-threatening condition in which the brain is in a state of persistent seizure. This is a horrible way to watch a baby die and it was intentional, not malpractice or mistake.
